I'm Jennifer D., the breeder behind Crossway Akitas, Whippets, & Russian Toys located in Holly Springs, MS. I am passionate about preserving and building upon the foundation of the many dedicated breeders before me with an emphasis to improve on the integrity of ethical breeding programs. I make careful selections of breeding dogs and perform extensive health testing.
Q. & A. with Jennifer
Why did you start breeding?
Because of my dedication to both the physical and mental health of these incredible dogs, I breed to pass these traits down to future generations. Every litter is always a little different, but it is so fulfilling to see the different personalities and such a joy and challenge to hand-raise each puppy. I love watching them blossom!
What makes your program special?
We are dedicated to breeding dogs that I know are excellent representations of the standard and will make a positive contribution to their line and YOU. I prioritize proper care and socialization for each puppy and set my puppies up for success by carefully selecting the parents of each litter. I choose parents whose genes bring out the best qualities and produce well-balanced puppies!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Skye
Skye is silly and affectionate all rolled in one. In her first litter, she produced puppies with very stable temperaments who went on to earn AKC Championships and Field titles. One puppy is even a professionally trained service dog.
Quin, mom
Russian Toy
About Quin
Quin charming, silly, and extremely smart. Her favorite hobbies are curling up in my lap and hunting rats (in that order).
Quin is retired from a very successful career in AKC Conformation where her accomplishments include multiple MISC Best In Shows, multiple Toy Group placements, 2023 No. 5 Russian Toy (No. 1 female), 2024 Top 20 Invitational, Grand Champion Select at Westminster Kennel Club 2024.
Even more impressive is her ability to out-produce herself. Her first litter (Aug 2021), she produced a Best In Specialty Show winner, and her second litter (Aug 2022) produced 4 AKC Champions (2 Grand Champions), 2 of which finished in the Top 20 Breed standings in 2024.
