Meet the breeder

I'm Becky K., the breeder behind Crown Schnauzers KC located in Independence, MO. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We treasure each puppy in our program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. We work hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence.

Q. & A. with Becky

  • Why did you start breeding?

After we got our first schnauzer, we absolutely fell in love with the breed. We had been looking for a hypoallergenic puppy to add to our family since two of our family members have extremely bad allergies to animals. After we added our first schnauzer to our family, the whole dynamic of our family changed! And to top it off, we had zero issues with allergies from the puppies in our home! It was a big win for us, and so we decided we wanted to share that happiness with other families!
  • What makes your program special?

All of our breeding dogs are our family dogs, so they are in house with us. We are with them 100% of the time during pregnancy and whelping. After puppies are born, we provide ENS training from days 3 to 16. We also provide puppy desensitization to sounds, and textures. After their first vaccination, we take them outside to explore our fenced backyard. We also start on potty training and crate training before going to their new homes.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include wheaten, white, parti, liver, salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

My experience went really well with Becky and Crown Schnauzers KC. Carl (Atticus originally) has been a wonderful addition to my family. He is full of personality and very affectionate. I enjoy watching how he interacts with his toys and environment. The process getting Carl was a great one, Becky was very responsive and informative on Carl and how he was progressing before pick-up. I really enjoyed seeing photos and videos of him. Pick-up was easy and I learned a lot about the different colors of schnauzers. I would recommend Becky and Crown Schnauzers KC to anyone looking to add a miniature schnauzer to your family.

My husband and I had looked at other breeders around the area but after reading some of the other reviews from previous puppy owners that got their babies from Becky we had to go with her. We loved her application process because it shows how much she cares about where her little grand puppies go. Once it was getting closer for little mama to go into labor Becky made sure to keep us updated as things progressed until the babies arrived. They were tiny and required extra attention but she still found time to keep us updated. We adored getting the pictures of our little Aster and getting to watch him grow and change! I would recommend her to anyone and would go back again later. Thank you for all you do Becky!! Aster is perfect! Going through Good Dog made the process secure for both parties.

Becky is a fabulous breeder. She answers questions promptly, has a beautifully clean and safe environment for her pups, and begins the socialization & training process. Our little Fritz came to us ready to join in with our active household. Without hesitation, I would recommend Crown Schnauzers KC.

Becky was amazing.... I immediately could tell that she loves her dogs. She had such a good energy and love for pets that I felt very confident that I was getting a dog from a true professional. Her home was beautiful, well taken care of maintained. Why is that important to me... because the attention to detail with her surrounding made me feel like she had that same attention to detail with raising her dogs. And I wasn't wrong... as she started going through the paperwork and packets of information that her and Gooddog had prepared, I knew I was dealing with a good person and true professional. Thank you so much for doing what you do and bringing these lovely dogs to wanting home owners... I promise to Love Finnegan as much as you have.... Wish you all the best Greg Trester
