I'm Damaris L., the breeder behind Cumberland Companions located in Monterey, TN. Our focus in breeding is on health, temperament, and intelligence. Our breeding program is built on responsibility, healthy pups, and an enthusiasn for this lovely breed. Our goal is to raise well-tempered poodles that reflect the intelligence of the breed. We are honored to share this with you all!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mom taught me everything I know about breeding. My mom raised puppies so I grew up with it. As a I got older I took more interest in breeding and learned so many good things from my family.

  • What makes your program special?

    My breeding program is set apart from others because we focus on the health and socialisation of every pup. We also prioritize the health of our puppies and dogs. We socialise them in our home so from an early age our puppies are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, surfaces, and everyday experiences. We truly love the breed and want to give others an opportunity to find their companions in this breed.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and blue merle. Poodle puppies are parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Damaris

Damaris has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Damaris partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing our puppies with the right families. Matching happens when the puppies are around 6 weeks old. This helps us determine their personalities and who is a good fit for them. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes a health guarantee, vet records, vaccine records, puppy socialization, and goodies for your pup. The deposit secures a puppy or a spot in the litter.”

Contract & health guarantee

Damaris may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Damaris offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Damaris directly.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel, Animal Genetics Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
