I'm Rachel M., the breeder behind Curly Collies located in Gaffney, SC. I breed low shedding companion dogs for people that enjoy Border Collies but can't handle the coat or energy. Our dogs are bred to be excellent family pets above all else. We strive to produce healthy dogs with the best qualities of both the poodle and the border collie.
Q. & A. with Rachel
Why did you start breeding?
I have been working for my mentor for several years learning the ins and outs of breeding purebred dogs. We saw a need for a dog like this but didn't want to fundamentally alter the pure breed in order to achieve the goal.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are bred for health, temperament, and structural soundness. They need to be good pets more than anything else.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
