Why did you start breeding?
Our passion for the breed grew through training, hunting, and AKC and UKC events. This inspired us to start Cypress Bayou Poodles to preserve the intelligence, versatility, and sporting abilities of the Standard Poodle. I am thankful for the mentorship and guidance from experienced breeders. My goal is to produce healthy, well-rounded dogs that thrive in the field and at home.What makes your program special?
Our program is focused on intelligence, trainability, natural drive, sound temperament, and strong family connection. We plan to use Puppy Culture, ENS, ESI, and puppy evaluations to help match puppy-to-family. Our puppies are raised in our home with exposure to children, home activities, water, bird wings, sounds, textures, and new experiences to help build confidence from filed and home.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jennifer partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Limited AKC registration. Raised with Puppy Culture, deworming, vaccines, socialization, placement test. A deposit secures your spot on the reservation list for a puppy. You may request a male or female, final puppy placement will be based on temperament evaluations to ensure the best match.”

He is crate trained, doing well with potty training, knows sit, and is learning not to jump when he gets overly excited. He's also working on retrieving a bumper and bringing it back, showing great potential for performance, hunting, or simply being an incredible family companion. He is great with kids, loves to be cuddled and give kisses, working on potty training, being kennel trained, has been rasied on puppy culture, ENS, ESI, exposed to duck wings, would be a great hunting partner, agility, or compaion. Litter update on 14 July •…🌞 Good Morning from Cypress Bayou Poodles! 🇺🇲 Happy 7 Weeks to the Honored Heroes Litter! This is an amazing group of puppies! I am so blessed to help raise them and prepare them for their future families. They're always eager to get out for breakfast and enjoy their activity for the day! (Video of today's activity coming soon!) We have been working on sitting before being picked up from the kennel and learning to enter when I say “kennel.” Of course, a special treat is given when they listen. We have also started working on “off” to discourage jumping on people, as well as “fetch” when I give them a toy and “drop” when I take it away. These simple exercises help them begin learning basic manners and commands. 📩 Interested in a Cypress Bayou puppy? Message me for a puppy application! Program update on 28 June •…🌞 Good morning from Cypress Bayou Poodles! Our Honored Heroes Litter has completely stolen our hearts! Each of these puppies are so special to us, and it's been such a joy watching them grow. They have officially started the weaning process and are doing great! They're learning to potty both outside and on their potty trays, and they're improving every day. Soon we'll introduce the Dremel for nail trims and begin grooming those sweet little faces, feet, and fannies! We still have two puppies looking for their forever families. Program update on 16 May •…Cypress Bayou Poodles is excited to announce the upcoming pairing of: SHR Autumn Shades Millie Tarleton JH & GCH MIA’S HE STOLE MY HEART JH SH HRC – SHR HR | PCA – WC WCX This pairing brings together beauty, intelligence, hunting drive, trainability, and loving temperaments — qualities we value deeply in our program. Our goal is to produce versatile Standard Poodles with strong family connections and natural ability both in the field and at home. Puppies will be raised inside our home using ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation), ESI (Early Scent Introduction), enrichment activities, and age-appropriate socialization to help build confidence and strong foundations. ✨ Expected: May 24, 2026 ✨ We are incredibly excited for this litter and look forward to sharing updates along the way. About Millie
Millie is a female Poodle. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jennifer decided to make her part of their program. Jennifer has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Cypress Bayou Poodles reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Standard Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
