I'm Stacey H., the breeder behind Dakota Moon Kennels located in Bismarck, ND. I show AKC conformation in order to produce dogs that meet the breed standard. I got involved in showing Beagles in 2018. I whelped my first litter in 2020.
Q. & A. with Stacey
Why did you start breeding?
I became interested in showing dogs and from there it blossomed into starting a breeding program for well bred Beagles. I love being able to show puppies that I bred and to be able to provide well bred puppies for loving pet homes.
What makes your program special?
I believe in producing puppies that are correct according to the breed standard. I show my dogs to ensure they are good examples of the standard. Breeding to the standard allows for dogs that are correctly built (less health and injury issues) and lovely to look at. Puppies are raised in my home and handled by me from day one.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are 15-inch size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
