I'm Jodi G., the breeder behind Dakota Toy Aussies located in Fairview, SD. We breed with a focus on health and temperament, and we have years of experience in preparing puppies for their forever homes. We spend lots of time socializing and training our pups so they will have a great foundation of good behavior and neurological development.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding because I always loved puppies and dogs when I was growing up. Now I get to enjoy that every day!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our breeding program is special because we raise our dogs like they are our kids! They love running around and enjoy the freedom that our farm brings to them. They are also spoiled because we love them so much!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jodi

Jodi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jodi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Jodi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    The puppies are doing well. Tigger is probably going into agility training as she is climbing and jumping everywhere she can. Lady is still sweet but holding her own against Tigger’s never ending energy.
