Q. & A. with Melody
Why did you start breeding?
We love English Style Golden Retrievers, and we wanted to share our passion for these amazing dogs with others. With my background in medicine, I have seen how game changing having a good therapy or service animal can be for patients and I wanted to breed animals that can potentially fill this role for others.
What makes your program special?
We truly care about the end result of our breeding. Because of this, we are focusing on ESI and ENS to start puppies out right, then useing a combination of other early trainings to expose them to as many different experiences as possible, so when they go home with you they are well socialized and ready to learn about being a part of your world.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Litter update on 31 Jan. •
Puppies turned 5 weeks old yesterday and boy did they have a big fourth week! They learned to eat gruel, they got to start walking around outside being held by a human and met a cat. They got introduced to lots of new toys including a tunnel and new places including the inside of the car, the bathroom, and the shop. They sniffed some goats and saw the inside of the barn. They listened to a wide assortment of sounds without getting scared, including thunder, hair dryers, blenders, vacuum cleaners, children crying, dogs barking, and too many other noises to count. They have been making slow progress on potty training and are learning to carry small items in their mouths when they walk. They are in full baby shark mode and WrestleMania mode. They are continuing to practice sitting down with all four paws on the ground for human attention and are starting to figure out how to take treats from our hands. It has been a fun action-packed week and this upcoming week we are going to be layering increased exposure to crates, cars and water/bath time as well as hopefully continuing weaning and increasing their association with treats and behavior.

Melody was an absolute dream to work with. She kept us updated with info and pictures…even on going home day. Buddy is such a sweetheart. He loves to cuddle and the puppy clumsiness is adorable. We are very happy.
