Amanda Y.

Breeder of Great Danes

Meet the breeder

I'm Amanda Y., the breeder behind Danes of Dundee located in Dundee, OH. We are dedicated to producing happy and health Great Dane puppies for loving and caring homes. Our puppies are raised with our children and are a part of our family from day one.

Q. & A. with Amanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

We adopted our first Great Dane (Durango) in spring of 2015 and totally fell in love with our goofy clumsy furry friend. As he grew and grew and grew!!! we were amazed at how gentle he was with our oldest son 2 at the time. They were best friends! Unfortunately summer of 2016 Durango was in an accident that claimed his life leaving our hearts broken. After a few months of mending and talking Danes with my husband we decided we want to become a breeder and share the greatness of a Great Dane!
  • What makes your program special?

We have done hours of research looking for Great Danes with pristine temperament, health, and multi-champion bloodlines which include De La Benjamine and Von Gigantic Blau just to name a few. We are yearning to become a reputable breeder by trying to follow the footsteps of the breeders we have selected our dogs from whom have been breeding Great Danes for decades.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
