I'm Dane L., the breeder behind Danson Siberians located in White Cloud, MI. We raise our puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. We stand behind the health, structure, and temperament of our puppies and select forever homes that best compliment the unique personalities of each puppy.
Q. & A. with Dane
Why did you start breeding?
After obtaining my first three Siberians, and showing them, I wanted to contribute to the betterment and preservation of the breed as a true working dog.
What makes your program special?
I breed only occasionally. My dogs are NOT a business. I don't want to, and don't try, to make money by breeding Siberian Huskies. I only breed when I'm ready for another show prospect (usually one litter every 2 years). My Siberians have a beautiful kennel building, with three separate exercise yards. I also have 30 acres, with trails through the woods. I do dog sledding in the winter months when there is ample snow, and also have a dry land rig when there is no snow, but temperatures are still cool enough to run the dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Danson Siberians reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Siberian Huskies.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
