Q. & A. with Melissa
Why did you start breeding?
I started with my first bitch, a mantle Dane that I owner handled. I got the show bug, and breeding came hand in hand. We strive to do better by each and every dog, continually learning as we go.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs leave clicker trained, potty trained, housebroken, kennel trained, leash trained, bell trained (to be let out), and manding (sitting as a means of communication).
Puppies stay until 10 weeks to learn as much as possible from littermates and mom. Our buyers once approved visit regularly and assist in training, and in turn, getting to know us and our dogs. Temperament and health are key.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mantle merle, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
