Dapper Danes

Ashley C.

Breeder of Great Danes

Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley C., the breeder behind Dapper Danes located in Owensboro, KY. Here at Dapper, we strive to create great family members while maintaining the integrity of the breed in beauty, brains, athleticism, and character! Our Danes have been very successful in and out of the conformation ring! We focus on health and breed preservation, and we are proud of our pups and our program.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

My very first Great Dane, Stanley, was the absolute love of my life. He, however, was horribly “BYB” and came with a life of health issues. I always wanted to breed and knew there was a better way to do things. I decided no one should go through the heartbreak that Stanley and I endured together and took a stance in breeding healthy family members!
  • What makes your program special?

I believe my program is special because of the amount of love we put into the natural development of our puppies. We really focus on natural rendering so puppies and therefore adults have natural confidence!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
