Meet the breeder

I'm Vicki K., the breeder behind Darboshea Tervuren located in Edmond, OK. Established in 1986 we strive for quality not quantity in our Tervuren. We are a small kennel in Edmond, Oklahoma USA and maintain a very selective breeding program. Our dogs are kept up to date on all health clearances. Our main goal is to breed a well-rounded Belgian with enough drive to sustain them through any type of training/work/competition/companionship and with enough breed type that there is no question as to what breed they are. Our dogs have some of the most respected families of Belgians in their pedigrees. You will find kennels such as Cairbar, Corsini, Fablehawk, Ambrajai, Clairiere aux Louves, Condivicnum, Van Moned, Van de Hoge Laer/High Clearings, du Bois du Tot, du Crespuscule des Louves, Grimmendans, Eternity, and Puy d'Aura.

Q. & A. with Vicki

  • Why did you start breeding?

I wanted to get even more involved with this exquisite breed along with training and showing. I am passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed, and I want my program to be an example of how to responsibly breed high-quality, healthy, sound in character, mind & body and beautiful Belgian Tervuren.
  • What makes your program special?

I hold myself to the highest standard when it comes to my dogs and my policies. I am thorough in health testing and caring for my dogs, and I make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual care that it needs to thrive. My goal is to ensure that every dog that comes from my program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves my care.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include mahogany and black, cream and black, gray and black, and fawn and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
