I'm Bobbie D., the breeder behind Darkover English Springer Spaniels located in Orting, WA. I have been breeding springers since 1987. I usually have a litter a year. I have spent many years studying the breed and believe strongly in preserving the breed by producing dogs with strong breed type, good health and very important - great temperaments.

    I wanted to help preserve the breed and produce healthy, happy springers.
  • What makes your program special?

    The time I spend with the puppies I raise. How well socialized they are to the environment, adults and children, other dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Bobbie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $250 refundable deposit and $2,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
