I'm Lisa M., the breeder behind Darling Doodles of Texas located in Poetry, TX. What began as a hobby became a passion as we recognized the need for ethical breeders in the doodle world. We DNA genetic test our dogs and do some OFA heart & patella testing as well. We incorporate ENS and aspects of Puppy Culture & screen buyers to ensure happy homes for our furry friends.

Why did you start breeding?
I've always loved dogs and I joke that I started breeding so that my husband would allow me to have as many dogs as I wanted!What makes your program special?
Our breeding dogs live under our roof and sleep in our beds--they are part of our family. We are constantly researching and learning about healthy, holistic ways to raise animals. We test all our breeding dogs for genetic disease and never pair dogs that would produce life-threatening or life-altering disease.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
