I'm Cari O., the breeder behind Darling Paws, LLC located in Bennett, CO. We are not a kennel—our puppies are born and raised in our home. Our goal is to produce healthy, happy pups for their FURever homes. As lifelong dog lovers, breeders, and a professional groomer, we provide hands-on care, early stimulation, and socialization for confident, loving family dogs. 🐾.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My family has bred and raised dogs for as long as I can remember, working primarily with Standard Poodles and Australian Cattle Dogs. Over time, I fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog–Poodle mix for their temperament and charm. To follow my own path, I chose to thoughtfully breed Bernedoodles I truly adore.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program is special because it is intentionally small and hands-on. Like larger responsible breeders, we value integrity, health, and thorough genetic testing to ensure quality puppies. Raised in our home, our pups receive early socialization and desensitization, helping them transition confidently and smoothly into their new families.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include brown, sable, black, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cari

Cari has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Cari partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Families may share preferences & we do our best to honor them. We encourage families to stay open-minded, as the puppy who captures your heart at 2 weeks may not be the best personality fit at 6 weeks.”

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes: Two Year Health Guarantee, spay/neuter contract, microchip, dewclaws removed, insurance, first vaccines/deworming, health records, blanket/toy with scents and small bag of dog food. Once puppies reach 6 weeks, the $500 deposit is non-refundable. Puppy selection occurs in deposit order. If needed, your deposit may be applied to a future litter if a puppy isn’t a good fit.”

Cari may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Wisdom Panel, GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing, Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Cari was great to work with! From the minute I reached out she was in touch and Facetiming to show me the puppies and sending updates every few days. My little fur baby came home with great information packets and some toys and food and ready to fit right in. He has the best little personality and has fit right into our family. When I went to her house to get him I could tell how much they love the pups and they raised as part of the family from day one! If I ever decide to add a 2nd dog to the mix, I'll wait as long as it takes to get another litter from Darling Paws!

    Getting Bailey from Cari was a great experience! The process was smooth snd stress free, she was very responsive, knowledgeable and timely with everything! Bailey is already potty trained and was in the process of crate training by the time I picked her up, Cari goes above and beyond to make sure her puppies are happy and healthy! If I had to do it again I would definitely go through Darling Paws Bernedoodles!
