De Casa Perez Giant Schnauzers

Gary P.

Breeder of Giant Schnauzers

Meet the breeder

I'm Gary P., the breeder behind De Casa Perez Giant Schnauzers located in Adelanto, CA. De Casa Perez was founded with a clear purpose: to preserve and produce true working Giant Schnauzers with stable temperaments, correct structure, and strong genetic foundations. Our breeding program prioritizes clear-headed confidence, strong nerves, athletic and functional structure, and natural working drive. Each pairing is carefully planned to protect health, temperament, and working ability for generations to come. We do not mass-produce litters. Every breeding is intentional and based on proven health testing, structural evaluation, and temperament standards. Our dogs are raised with structured early development and exposure to build confident, stable companions suited for sport, active families, and working homes. We are committed to responsible breeding practices, transparent communication, and lifetime support for our puppy families.

Q. & A. with Gary

  • Why did you start breeding?

My involvement in IGP and working dog clubs deepened my appreciation for correct structure, sound nerves, and clear-headed temperament. I began breeding with the goal of preserving authentic working pepper & salt lines—prioritizing health testing, temperament stability, and functional ability over trends or volume.
  • What makes your program special?

As an active competitor and club leader, I hold my program to high standards. Each pairing is carefully planned to protect the integrity of the working Giant Schnauzer. Puppies receive early structured exposure and are raised in a stable environment to build confidence, resilience, and lifelong reliability. I am currently one of the very few owners in the USA of a working Pepper Salt Giant.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and pepper and salt. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
