I'm Deirdre H., the breeder behind Dearheart Havanese located in Warrenton, VA. My dogs live in my home and puppies are well socialized. I take puppy placement very seriously. My breeding dogs have been extensively health tested to ensure they will produce the healthiest puppies.

Q. & A. with Deirdre

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with the Havanese breed many years ago. I began showing my dogs in AKC shows and I wanted to do my part to better the breed. I love putting my efforts towards giving each pup a happy life.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is special because I prioritize the health and socialization of my puppies. Each breeding dog is fully health tested and puppies are raised to be well socialized family members with wonderful temperaments.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white, cream, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
