I'm Laurie B., the breeder behind Delaney Park Doodles located in The Villages, FL. We are in-home breeders, passionate about having litters of Doodles with our dogs and guardians. Our home is a little crazy, but we love it. These dogs have brought so much joy into our life! They are loyal, smart, and so lovable. We love being able to contribute to the betterment of the breed.
Q. & A. with Laurie
Why did you start breeding?
As my husband and I both sell Real Estate for the same entity, I wanted to have an exit strategy. Having always loved and had dogs, this was a very natural progression for me. We adopted a guardian dog from an excellent breeder, with their help learned a tremendous amount about the hows, dos and don'ts.
What makes your program special?
Our Labradoodle moms are all first-generation English Labs to Standard Poodles. We then mate that female to a Standard Poodle. Our Bernedoodles are all first-generation Bernese Mountain Dogs to Standard Poodles. We do this so that with the help of genetic testing of our parent dogs, we can strive to produce puppies without the genetic component for diseases that end the lives of dogs far too young.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Labradoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Bernedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Labradoodle puppies include caramel red, red, cream, chocolate, and cafe. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
