I'm Maridell W., the breeder behind Dell-Mar located in Fredericksburg, VA. At Dell-Mar Corgis, we breed to produce Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies with sound temperaments, excellent structure, intelligence, and healthy bodies. All of our Corgis, and the males to whom we select as the sire, are health tested! Many are sold to previous buyers.

Why did you start breeding?
Have been breeding German Shepherds for over 40 years, and 30 years ago, I found another wonderful breed- the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. We show, or have shown, our dogs in AKC conformation shows. Some have even competed in agility.What makes your program special?
I have been breeding Pembroke Welsh Corgis for 30 years, and have placed many beautiful puppies in loving homes with their new pleased owners. I bring these years of experience to each litter. We have all of our moms and dads x-rayed for a normal structure to ensure each litter is as sound as possible. We also follow the National Pembroke Welsh Corgi health standards in our breeding program.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our German Shepherd puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our German Shepherd puppies include black and tan and black and red. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies are white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
