I'm Tonya B., the breeder behind Delovely Standard Poodle’s & Rottweiler’s located in Salisbury, NC. We are dedicated to a healthy legacy. Here at Delovely Poodles, we strive for the whole essence of what a Standard Poodle is! Each of our breeding dogs is health tested before breeding, and we've also included the UC Davis Diversity testing into our program to keep a close eye on the diversity within our program and future pairings.
Q. & A. with Tonya
Why did you start breeding?
Back around 2009, I became the owner of an adorable Miniature Poodle rescue. He was a matted mess! I fell in love with that little dog. Me being a large dog person (growing up I had Rottweilers), I set out to find a Standard Poodle. In 2011, as a teenager, I purchased Lacey; she was the first puppy I ever purchased and raised myself. Lacey is everything and even more than I could've ever asked for!
What makes your program special?
Here at Delovely Poodles, I pride myself on providing my buyers with the healthiest puppies I can produce. I'm transparent about our puppies/dogs. Each puppy has a two-year genetic defect health guarantee. I stand behind each and every puppy that holds the Delovely name. I'm a humble, ordinary person who simply wants to share this extraordinary breed with other like-minded people.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
