Meet the breeder

I'm Lauren and Cory Denzil H., the breeder behind Denzil’s Goldens located in Tonasket, WA. We are proud to be ethical Golden Retriever breeders. Our dogs and puppies are family, and we give each pup all the loving care possible to prepare them for their forever homes. We are proud of our program and our efforts to responsibly provide healthy, even-keeled Goldens to future generations.

Q. & A. with Lauren and Cory Denzil

  • Why did you start breeding?

From Cory’s first Golden Sugar, as a child, we have both always loved the breed. As adults we learned more about Goldens, and as we developed a quality breeding program, we continued and continue to strive to further the breed with healthy, sound, well bred pups.
  • What makes your program special?

We temperament test every puppy produced by our breeding program, carefully helping chose each puppy’s forever home. We have 3 children, Maine Coon kittens, cows and a small hobby farm on 10 acres in the beautiful PNW. Our pups receive exceptional socialization, with many components of Puppy Culture and ENS involved. We offer lifetime breeder support, and a 3 year health guarantee.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Lauren and Cory were so helpful through the entire process of getting a puppy. They answered all our questions and provided us with plenty of documentation and recommendations to help us on our puppy journey. Our dog Winnie has been a wonderful addition to the family!

We had such a wonderful experience bringing Sunny home. From the very beginning, communication was clear, responsive, and thoughtful. It was obvious how much care and intention went into raising this litter. Sunny came home confident, well-socialized, and already off to a great start with handling and transitions. You can tell she was raised in a nurturing environment, not just housed and sold. That matters. We also really appreciated the transparency throughout the process — from the application to the deposit to pickup. Everything felt organized and professional without losing that personal touch. If you’re looking for a breeder who genuinely cares about their dogs and the families they go to, we would absolutely recommend them. We’re so grateful for our girl.

We had such an amazing experience with Denzil’s Goldens from start to finish. Communication was clear and consistent with frequent updates and very helpful information throughout the process. Our vet was very impressed with his health and temperament, and we couldn’t be happier with Oakley and would absolutely recommend Denzils Goldens to anyone looking for a healthy, well-bred Golden Retriever!

Searching for the right puppy for our family felt daunting for weeks, but I felt I had found the right breeder when I came upon Denzil’s Goldens. I could tell they put a lot of love and care into raising these dogs. They are very responsive and helpful in setting you up with your new puppy. Now that she is home we couldn’t be happier! Dolly Parton is so smart and sweet! She picks up new skills easily and just wants to be part of our family!

Lauren and Cory were absolutely amazing to work with. I received multiple updates and photos of my puppy prior to picking her up. Lauren and Cory were very responsive and helpful with any questions I had and were flexible with pickup. They are very knowledgable on everything golden and it was so reassuring knowing that my puppy came from a breeder who truly cares. When we got home and had our first vet appointment, our vet read through the paperwork received from pickup and told me it was “such a breath of fresh air” to read my puppy’s records and know she came from such a wonderful breeder. I’m beyond thankful to have found Lauren and Cory, my puppy is the most perfect match for me and most importantly healthy and happy.
