I'm Monna R., the breeder behind Desert Cockapoos located in Yuma, AZ. Cockapoos' family friendly personalities, non-shedding coats, and adaptability to many lifestyles made cockapoos my top choice - I think you'll discover the same. I'm dedicated to providing these lovable dogs to welcoming, friendly homes!
Q. & A. with Monna
Why did you start breeding?
In the 1970’s and 1980’s, I boarded and finished greyhound racing dogs. When I retired from my real job, I wanted to do puppies again. So, I bought Tula Rose and Paisley as puppies to begin my little enterprise.
What makes your program special?
As a small breeder, I only raise cockapoos. All of my puppies are raised in my house and get my personal attention from the day they are born until they are given to their families. I do not believe in leaving the health of your puppy to chance. Even though testing for diseases is expensive, I believe it is the mark of a quality breeder. My goal is to give you the best puppy you can get. Hopefully your puppy will bring you love and joy for a long time.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, buff, red, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Monna at Desert Cockapoos was terrific about keeping us up to speed on our two puppies. She sent videos of them from time to time after we decided to go forward and while she kept them for the month or so until my wife and I returned from out of the country. She made our interactions and the experience easy.
