I'm Krista M., the breeder behind Desert Ridge Doodles located in Maricopa, AZ. At Desert Ridge Doodles we strive to produce resilient, healthy puppies with loving temperaments. We are lifelong dog owners and we love breeding your next family member!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started my program in 2024 after adopting a very special Poodle named Gracie, and knowing shortly thereafter I wanted to try my hand at breeding. I’ve had the pleasure of owning our sire as my personal dog for the last 7 years, and his personality combined with his health qualities made him a perfect choice for breeding. We currently have 6 poodles in our program!

  • What makes your program special?

    My goal has always been to provide an excellent foundation to the puppies I produce and health test as much as possible. They in turn, can go on to live happy, fulfilled lives and be the easiest, healthiest dogs to own for their future families. I'm well-versed in all aspects of owning a dog and I'll be there for the long haul if you have any questions or need help with training.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Bernedoodle puppies include tiny, mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, phantom, merle, and parti. Bernedoodle puppies include brown and white, brown, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Krista

Krista has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Krista partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.

“We take great care in matching our puppies to the right families. We start matching puppies at 5 weeks with our waitlist families based on temperament. Once that process is complete we match puppies by application and if you’re a good fit for that specific puppy.”

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our price includes a puppy go-home pack, deworming, vaccines + health guarantee. Deposit required to get on our waitlist or to reserve a puppy. Deposits can be transferred to another puppy or litter at any time.”

Krista may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    After losing my Golden Doodle of 10 years I wasn’t sure if I could get another puppy. After a month I saw the litter Krista had posted and instantly knew that the little puppy “Breck” would be the perfect dog to help with hole in my heart. Krista was quick to respond, answering all my questions and concerns. She made the whole process a breeze. Being in Colorado, driving to Phoenix was a little much. Krista happily agreed to meet part way. We wanted to get an early start back home and Krista made that happen, she met us at our hotel at 5 in morning.
