Breeder of Beagles

Meet the breeder

I'm Rachelle C., the breeder behind Desert Sage Beagles located in Gunnison, UT. At Desert Sage Beagles, each of our puppies is veterinarian-checked, well-socialized, and raised in a family environment. We take pride in matching our puppies with loving homes through a careful application process to ensure the best fit for both the dog and family.

Q. & A. with Rachelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

We bought our first beagle about 5 years ago. She has been the best addition to our family. This year we added to our family two more, a male and a female. We hope to have a litter every other year rotating the females. We have always just loved the breed, and have wanted to get involved with breeding puppies and we are finally starting this journey with our first litter born this year!
  • What makes your program special?

We really love animals. We take pride in taking the BEST care of our dogs while providing safe and clean conditions for them, as well as playing with them and keeping them happy. Our animals are like family to us. We love each one. This is not just a business. Our hearts are in this process every step of the way! While I am just starting out, I plan to be professional, and honest, in this process.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brown white and tan and black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
