Desert Sage Pembroke Corgis

Tom & Denise W.

Breeder of Pembroke Welsh Corgis

Meet the breeder

I'm Tom & Denise W., the breeder behind Desert Sage Pembroke Corgis located in Buhl, ID. Our dogs go to work with us on a farm and cattle ranch. They have strong herding instincts and need exercise daily, play and/or work. They come home with us and sleep in the house with us. They are a loved member of the family and get along beautifully with babies, kids, adults, other dogs, and cats. They are not aggressive, but they are not shy. We love our Corgis.

Q. & A. with Tom & Denise

  • Why did you start breeding?

Long story short, cattle shows. We bought our first Corgi at a National Show in Tulsa. We bought our breeding female from Staci Holt in Eastern Oregon. She was retiring from Corgi breeding, so we DNA tested our female with great results. We bought a male from our mentor, Kendall of Sagewind Corgis.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a small family, ranch style breeder and we are not in it for the money. We mate for genetics, physical, health, athletic, workability, and smarts. Finding the perfect home for each Corgi is very important to us.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn, red, and sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
