Meet the breeder

I'm Debbie O., the breeder behind Desert Sheepies and Doodles located in Mesa, AZ. We offer top-quality pets with a focus on temperament and health. At Desert Sheepies our primary focus is to breed top quality puppies that will become part of your family for years to come. We are a family of six who work together to raise amazing pups for the 9 past years in our Arizona home. We strive to raise healthy puppies with amazing temperaments that will provide you with years of love and happiness. The puppies are handled and started with ENS (early neural stimulation ) on day 2, this introduces mild stresses to puppies in a controlled way. These exercises stimulate the neurological system which improves the growth and development of the pup's immune system, cardiovascular system, and stresses tolerance. We also provide an enriched environment that creates an enriched brain. We use a variety of toys that make noise, jiggle, and light up. We provide different textures and surfaces to play on, and offer obstacle play ,such as tubes and tunnels to run through, wobble boards to work on balance, and slides to work on heights. We also introduce many sounds that dogs can be afraid of such as thunderstorms, fireworks, run vacuums around them and etc. We do this during feeding time so it can help build a positive association with these noises. Working with the puppies early can take advantage of their early socialization times and developing brains to build confident resilient young dogs. We also use 2 puppy curriculum programs, Bad A** Breeder and puppy culture. Our puppies are highly socialized to kids and other animals. All puppies are vet checked and come with a one year health guarantee as kind as the quality food and vitamins are used. Our family's best compliments are that the puppies are loving, smart, have amazing temperaments, and have been fairly easy to train. We have multiple families that have purchased a second or even third puppy from us. Please reach out with any questions💙🐶.

Q. & A. with Debbie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding for my cousin who needed a service dog for her daughter but could not afford one. My Doodles and OES have the best temperaments, clear genetics with Embark. I absolutely fell in love with breeding and all the information I learned along the way. Breeding gives my family and me so much joy and we love to raise great puppies for other families to enjoy.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are part of our family, not just breeding animals. We take every step to ensure we are producing the highest healthy, quality puppy with an amazing temperament to add to your family. They eat quality food, take vitamins, get regular exercise, and go to the vet regularly. We have had 3 puppies become service dogs for 3 children, They have provided such comfort for the individual children. One child is entirely off his anxiety medications, another family has trained the dog to alert the family and keep her safe from seizures. We hope we can provide your family with one of our amazing puppies.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sheepadoodle puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and merle. Old English Sheepdog puppies are gray and white. Sheepadoodle puppies include blue merle and white, blue merle, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppies are picked out in order of deposit and matched to families on their temperaments and family dynamics. 🐶 About Our $500 Deposit We get this question often, so here’s a quick explanation! ❤️ When you place a $500 deposit, it goes toward reserving your spot for one of our puppies. This deposit is nonrefundable, even if you decide to purchase from another breeder or change your mind later. We do this because once a spot is reserved, we start planning your match and turn away other interested families. Each reservation affects how we manage our litters, our waitlist, and the care and time we dedicate to each family and puppy. Your deposit shows a serious commitment and helps us continue to provide healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies to loving homes. 🐾 Thank you for understanding and supporting our program — it truly means the world to us! 💕.”
