I'm Jan R., the breeder behind DesertMoon Chows located in Midwest City, OK. We breed successful show dogs and companions. Our goal is to preserve the integrity and health of this beautiful breed! We take responsible breeding very seriously, and we’re thorough in health testing and caring for our dogs. We make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual attention that it needs to thrive, and we do all that we can to prepare them for their future roles and families.

Getting a puppy from Jan

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $6,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This includes contractual agreements, AKC registration, microchip, deworming, vaccinations. Minimum $1500 deposit for waitlist.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
