I'm Susan A., the breeder behind DESK Springer Spaniels located in Casnovia, MI. Our dogs are raised as part of our family. Our children and now our grandchildren have found the joy and companionship that a springer brings them. We breed for excellent temperament, sound structure, health & beauty. Walk, jog, hunt or sit and watch TV. They just LOVE to be with you!

Why did you start breeding?
When my husband and I were married he had a Springer called Dandy and he was just that. Growing up my father hunted with Brittney Spaniels, but I fell in love with the English Springer Spaniel “Dandy”. When our daughter was about 7 we went to look at a litter of liver/white puppies. Of course we both fell in love and she picked out “Curly Sue”, our first breeding dam. The rest is history.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver white and tan, liver and white, black white and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

"Puppies come with AKC Limited registration, contract/guarantee, tails docked & dew claws removed, 6 week veterinarian health report, up to date on vaccinations, appropriate worming & socializing. Deposits are non-refundable unless I can not deliver what you are looking for in an appropriate amount of time. There is no difference in fee for males or females."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I had the pleasure of dealing with Susan when we were heartbroken after our beloved Springer Charlee suddenly crossed. She was very nice and very knowledgeable. Susan not only looked after the puppy's well being, but mine also for there was bad weather. Her gracious husband was also very nice at the exchange place which was the hotel 🏨 He also gave me great directions to get home. All is well with Charlie (Yes, we named him the same with different spelling) and me! I would highly recommend this breeder. Actually I have done just that recently. God bless 🙌
