I'm Wende S., the breeder behind Devoue Belgians located in Meadville, PA. We strive to produce healthy, beautiful, well-balanced dogs with a focus on happy, family pets. The Belgian Tervuren is a wonderful breed that is not made for everyone. They have a lot of energy, they are intelligent, athletic, quick-witted, and love their owners. They love to please and a very versatile dog. I love this breed, and I hope to pass on my passion to you!

    I want to preserve our breed.
  • What makes your program special?

    Over time, I have come to realize that I love to raise puppies. I love helping them reach their potential. Each one has a talent, just as we do, and finding/enhancing that talent is the best! I love teaching them to communicate with us so they transition into their new homes easily.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Wende

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $1,700 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the contract and health guarantee, AKC registration papers, 1st shots, deworming, puppy culture protocols. Deposit is non-refundable. If for any reason a puppy is unavailable for you (ie: gender, color), you will be refunded. Thank you! :-).”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Dentition, Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
