Dewey Creek Goldens

Elizabeth S.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Elizabeth S., the breeder behind Dewey Creek Goldens located in Bellingham, WA. We breed health tested AKC Golden Retrievers, from wonderful pedigrees. Our main goal is to produce high-quality Golden Retriever puppies with excellent health and temperament, low COI, and from parents who have been proven in AKC, UKC, or IABCA Rally trials, conformation, trick titles, CGC, therapy work, or nosework. We work hard to give our puppies a great start by socializing and preparing them for their new families. We strive to breed responsibly, with integrity and honesty, and we commit to supporting our puppies' families after they've left our farm.

Q. & A. with Elizabeth

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've wanted to raise puppies since I was young. After owning several different mixed breeds and rescue dogs with various health and temperament issues, I decided to take time to research pedigrees, genetic and health issues, and learn how to breed and raise puppies responsibly. I take my job as a breeder seriously and health test my breeding dogs to ensure the production of healthy puppies. I'm always learning what I can do to improve my program and provide well-rounded, healthy puppies to loving homes.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are part of the family. They live in our home and have 15 acres to run and play! We introduce the puppies at appropriate stages of development to various sights, sounds, surfaces, and situations. Our puppies are vet checked, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped before going home at 8 weeks. We do our best to prepare our puppies for their new homes, and support their families after they've left us!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
