Meet the breeder

I'm Pamela L., the breeder behind DeZaVu Akitas located in Kamiah, ID. I have worked with Akitas for over 40 years and am an active participant in the show world. I love sharing my life with this wonderful breed. My goal is to produce lovable, healthy, versatile pups that can excel within various venues and are prepared to be the most wonderful family companions regardless if they ever make it into a show ring.

Q. & A. with Pamela

  • What makes your program special?

I'm a selective breeder going for quality over quantity. My goal as a breeder is finding homes that understand the breed, are willing to take on the challenge of raising an Akita into adulthood, and have an environment and means to do so. A fenced yard is a must.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, fawn undercoat and black, silver undercoat. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
