Q. & A. with Kristi
Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first show dog from Moonlight Akitas and joined the Rocky Mountain Akita Club eight years ago. I was mentored and taught the importance of breeding to improve upon the breed in each litter produced.
What makes your program special?
At Dō-ha Akitas, we breed for temperaments, solid structures and healthy minds and bodies. We strive to uphold the AKC standard of the Akita Breed. We only breed to AKC Champions of Record with all health clearances passed.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
