Diamond Danes

Molly G.

Breeder of Great Danes

Meet the breeder

I'm Molly G., the breeder behind Diamond Danes located in Battle Creek, MI. The goal with our program is to breed and raise puppies that will bring as much joy to your life as our dog has brought to us!! For the early weeks of your new puppies life they will be cuddled by our family of six in our home and on our horse farm and have a foundation of training.

Q. & A. with Molly

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a certified dog trainer I once ran up to 6 group classes/ week. Through that experience I found that I was absolutely in love with working with puppies, especially young puppies. When we got our beautiful mama, Diamond, our breeder mentioned that full rights would be made available to us. The more we thought on the idea of raising puppies the more it sounded like a natural fit for our family!
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is special because of the foundation of training & socialization we provide. The number one reason dogs are in shelters is due to behavior. While we can only lay the foundation & the bulk of training is dependent on the owners, we hope that our puppies develop desirable behaviors & personalities. You can rest assured that your puppy has been loved and socialized early in their life!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Great level

Diamond Danes reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Great Danes.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
