I'm Hayden H., the breeder behind Diamond Ridge Cane Corsos located in Vernal, UT. It is our desire to raise healthy Corsi that are an excellent representation of the Cane Corso breed. We do genetic health testing, CAER, OFA, and PenHIPP.
Q. & A. with Hayden
Why did you start breeding?
My mother helped me get a German Wirehair Pointer when I was 12. I trained it and bred it and she helped me with everything. Once that dog died I wasn't ever established enough to breed again until recently.
What makes your program special?
We participate in AKC conformation shows and Utah Sighthounds and Coursing Club FAST CAT events. Health and genetics are VERY important to us. Although most of our puppies go to family homes and are sold as pets; we aim to produce the very best dogs for the health and integrity of the breed. All of our litters are in our family home and are very well socialized. We have a 5 year health guarantee.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chestnut brindle, black brindle, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Diamond Ridge Cane Corsos reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cane Corso.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
