I'm Diane H., the breeder behind Diane Hawkins located in Advance, NC. Miniature Poodles are super intelligent, loyal trusting companions, amusing, quirky, no shedding, hypoallergenic, can be groomed into many different styles. Poodles do really well with children & other pets. We breed puppies that are even tempered, yet wildly playful with that special spark!

Why did you start breeding?
I started out in the late 1980's with Labrador Retrievers, standing at stud a son of ENG/AKC/CAN CH Lyndall Mastercraft. I got into poodles as someone who has allergies. I have had poodles for 25 years. I wanted to get into dog showing so I bought the best quality poodles I could find. I love puppies, my grandsons, 1.4, & 7 have helped with socialization. Monster trucks & loud toys included!
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is based on excellent foundation Miniature Poodles. My foundation sire is an AKC Champion & UKC Grand Champion. He is completely health tested & CHIC certified for health. My husband & I are retired so we can be home everyday with our pets. I only have AKC Poodles, no other breed. See photos as puppies are raised in my kitchen under a big sunshine window w/lots of freedom.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, cream, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"I am a preservationist breeder of Poodles in the Miniature size. Sire is an AKC Champion & UKC Grand Champion. Mothers of same quality. No back yard breeders on pedigrees only show quality. What a loving loyal companion-that's Ginger. We own 3 adult Miniature Poodles & Ginger is a precious family pet. No small, barky dog syndrome with this genetic line. She can be let outside without a fence & stays right with you. Her job in life is to be a professional companion. Her grandmother is a Champion, her father has sired Champions. She has 4 female puppies in this litter born 12/27/25 in red & apricot.

Ginger is our precious pet. I only have three dogs as my foundation dogs and she is one. I am a quality breeder of just one breed, the Miniature Poodle. She is AKC and has a great pedigree. Her mother is an AKC Champion and CHIC health certified. No backyard breeders on her pedigree. She is Embark health tested. She is 11" tall and weighs 11.5 lbs. She is solid apricot in color. I showed her as a puppy. Super loving, loyal companion personality. Her father has sired many champions including a recent international champion. A playful charmer!

Trixie is the best. She has a Champion mother & many Champion, health tested poodles on her pedigree w/no backyard breeders, only those dedicated to the poodle breed. Her genetic line is one of that Poodle spark mixed in with a loyal loving personality. You can put her anywhere & she is obedient & focused. No small barky dog syndrome as I call it. None. She is quirky though & my retired husband & I laugh at her, don't mess with Trixie! So cute! She is so confident and has that show dog prance. She is a delight every day. Loves to play with children and chase balls and throw toys. She is Embark DNA tested, patellas tested, eyes cleared. Her father has sired 10 champions. At this time 1/2/26 we have 1 red male available.

Beautiful AKC Champion and UKC Grand Champion. He has sired 10 plus UKC Grand Champions. 15" tall. Very well trained and has a loving personality which he gives to his offspring. He is COMPLETELY HEALTH TESTED, CHIC certified, OFA, AKC DNA test, Microchipped. He is a precious family member and allowed to roam the house and lounge on covered sofas. He is so intelligent! He keeps us entertained by playing with his stuffed toys, ropes, balls. My husband & I are retired & at home with him. Comfort, companionship and humor, that's him, our baby. Champion photos for his puppies can be given. Super quality sire and completely health tested including negative Brucellosis. We only feed top quality dog food supplemented with ground beef chicken, and veggies. Ask for his exceptional pedigree with show kennels only. No cross breeding, no doodles, no backyard breeders. None!

My experience adopting a bundle of joy could not have been better! Good Dog and Diane Hawkins made the process easy by coordinating everything. It was Labor Day weekend and other breeders did not respond immediately. We were able to arrange a pickup on Monday. We got pictures and information from Diane about Teddy. It was evident these puppies were breed and cared for with love. This is my first poodle, and I could not be happier. He has a sweet disposition and has fit in so well with our other dogs, cat and family! It was easy to house train from the beginning. Teddy is one of the most intelligent dogs we have owned and a furry loving companion!
