I'm Kylie G., the breeder behind Dioscuri Kennel located in Menifee, CA. Health is primary. Because cancer is so prevalent in goldens, we heavily research and use diverse, low-cancer pedigrees. Our goal is to improve the health of our beloved breeds, leaving a lasting effect on the gene pool. Our retrievers are bred with a focus for service and therapy dog work.

Why did you start breeding?
I started in dogs with the training aspect. I worked as a service dog trainer for several years, and went to training school, before joining a service dog program and breeding for them. After I found success with that program, I was hooked, and the rest is history.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because of the consistency in health and temperament we have been able to build as well as the notable genetic diversity present in our golden retrievers.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black and yellow. Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Kylie
Kylie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Kylie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Puppies come with first round of vaccines, microchip, deworming, and basic exposure to crate and potty training. Our deposit is transferable. If for any reason we cannot give you a puppy from the current litter, we can transfer your deposit to another litter.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
