I'm Jonathan L., the breeder behind DMV Doodles located in Manassas, VA. Ethical breeders of standard bernedoodles located in Northern Virginia. Our dogs undergo extensive health screenings including genetic health testing and hip/elbow certifications.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    It was something that my father and I have been planning to start once we had a property that could handle such an important task like breeding.

  • What makes your program special?

    We only have one breeding dog in our home which ensures Dory are her puppies are top priority. She has received recommended health testing and has a health certificate from Paw Print Genetics. Our stud was carefully selected and I travel nearly 18 hours round trip for live AI despite many closer options. He is the stud for "Crimson Curl Doodles" which is a certified breeder according to Good Dog.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jonathan

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All puppies will comes with a health guarantee/certificate, CKC registration, Multi-generation pedigree, initial vaccinations/deworming, blanket with the scent of littermates/mother, starter food. Generally not refundable barring tragic that does not allow for a forever family to adopt one of our puppies.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
