Q. & A. with Danielle
Why did you start breeding?
I started by wanting a hunting dog, researched breeds as we didn't want a Lab, I fell in love with and got a Poodle, trained/titled him ourselves. I got into obedience, rally, and hunting. I wanted a second Poodle. I was offered a show quality female. I showed and titled her in multiple venues, with help from mentor, bred our first litter. Now I mentor a newbie.
What makes your program special?
The knowledge and background I have and the way we raise our pups. We were doing ENS and puppy culture type enrichment 14 years ago and our litters showed. We go above and beyond in every aspect from planning breeding pairs to whelping, raising, placing, and support until the end of life.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature, moyen, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, blue, cream, gray, silver, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

We found Danielle and DoeValley Standard Poodles through extensive research. We were impressed with her commitment to health, genetic diversity, and breeding standard poodles for sport and work. The fact that she does not physically alter puppies (dock tails, etc) was essential to us. The description of how she raises puppies was impressive. We met with Danielle, the puppies, and their mama and had a great interaction with Danielle asking us about what we wanted and experience and us being able to ask her as many questions as we could think of to ask. We were encouraged to come and visit the puppies again. Each time, Danielle was a font of knowledge and information. The puppies and their mama were interactive and well socialized. We took Skeeter home in September with a binder information about him and what he needs and a bag of toys, food, and poodle necessities. He has adjusted easily and we have already sent Danielle pictures. We plan to have him as our companion and a therapy dog. We know she is there for the life of this wonderful dog to answer questions.

Danielle offers everything and then some to her puppies as they grow to be ready to go to their new homes. I’ve never had such a well adjuster dog in my life! Our little girl, Sage, is beautiful, healthy, very well socialized and extremely smart. We can’t thank Danielle enough for breeding such wonderful puppies!

Great to work with, very knowledgeable and cares about her puppies. Everyone who meets my puppy compliments how beautiful she is and well tempered.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
