I'm Emily N., the breeder behind Dog in Mind Danes located in Salt Lake City, UT. We believe that dogs make excellent family members when they are raised with great nutrition, good boundaries, training, and exercise. We practice this with our own adult dogs and are excited to pass these starting points on with each of our puppies. We breed for quality vs. quantity.
Q. & A. with Emily
Why did you start breeding?
We've been interested in dogs as long as we can remember and have had many memorable canine companions over the years. I grew up with Miniature Schnauzers and gradually the dogs got bigger as I got older! My husband has been training dogs as a hobby since he was young. Five years ago, we purchased our first breeding Great Dane female to start our program.
What makes your program special?
Our first concern is the health of the mother. We do everything we can to make sure that she's well taken care of, from nutrition to exercise and training and behavior. If she's happy and healthy, she's the foundation for great puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
