Meet the breeder

I'm Danielle B., the breeder behind Dog Mom Co. Doodles located in Gaylord, MI. We are a Michigan based program dedicated to raising high quality companions! We put a lot of love and intention into each litter, and from the reviews we've gotten, it shows in each puppy!

Q. & A. with Danielle

  • Why did you start breeding?

When each of us got our first puppies when fell head over heels in a way we never expected! What was missing from our experience was getting to know our puppies before they came to us. We make sure that each of our puppy families have the opportunity to get to know their puppy from day 1 (we livestream every birth on our fb page)!
  • What makes your program special?

We are very intentional with what we expose the puppies to when they are with us. We follow a hybrid protocol blending Puppy Culture and The Art of Raising A Puppy. We have the puppies work on different textured flooring, balance toys, sound exposure, weekly baths/blowouts/grooming, lots of love and handling. Puppies leave our program confident and ready to bring love to their new families. We also do lots of videos and pictures on our fb so families feel connected to each litter.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies are medium size. Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Bernedoodle puppies include chocolate merle, brown and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
