I'm Alison H., the breeder behind Dogwood Family Doodles located in Marietta, GA. We believe that every dog deserves a loving family. We follow strict breeding principles so all of our parent dogs are kept happy and healthy, and our pups are given a strong, happy and healthy start. For every doodle we adopt out, we help a shelter dog on their journey to find their forever home.
Q. & A. with Alison
Why did you start breeding?
Both my husband and I were raised in dog-loving homes and so wanted the same for our daughter. It wasn't until our baby dog Elliot that we were introduced to doodles and became completely obsessed. This obsession only grew when we adopted Roxy and she had her first litter. Working with a reproduction vet and fellow breeders, we've expanded our skills to grow healthy, confident and loving pups.
What makes your program special?
We are committed to ethical breeding practices that help to weed out hereditary diseases, hip dysplasia, etc. We are committed to treating every dog in our program as if they were our own family member. We are committed to our 1-to-1 program: for every dog we sell, we help a shelter dog on their journey to find their forever home. Every dog deserves a loving home. Puppy love begins with family!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, black phantom, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Couldn’t Ask for a Better Breeder!
Working with Alison at Dogwood Family Doodles has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the very first conversation, it was clear how much she genuinely cares—not just about placing puppies in good homes, but about raising confident, healthy, well-socialized dogs.
Alison made the entire process incredibly easy. She communicated clearly, help us prepare for training Rocco, and always took the time to answer every question with patience and kindness. You can tell she puts her heart into what she does.
What truly sets Dogwood Family Doodles apart is how much time Alison spends working with the puppies before they go home. Our little one came to us already familiar with basic routines, exposed to different sounds and environments, and so comfortable around people. You can feel the love and intention she pours into every step of their early development.
If you’re looking for a breeder who is trustworthy, dedicated, and truly passionate about her dogs, I can’t recommend Dogwood Family Doodles enough. We are beyond grateful for our new family member—and for Alison, who made the entire experience exceptional.

What a wonderful experience! Alison responded to all our questions promptly, expressed a true love for the puppies and an admirable sense of responsibility in finding them loving homes. We couldn’t be happier with our sweet puppy! He came to us crate trained and started sleeping through the night by the third night in our home, He is so loving and so lovable! We would highly recommend Dogwood Family Doodles to anyone looking to adopt a new furry family member.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
