Meet the breeder

I'm McKenna R., the breeder behind Doodle Amore located in San Jose, CA. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! The foundation of our breeding program starts with raising healthy and well-loved dogs. We aim to pass the same happiness of owning a quality-bred dog to our buyers.

Q. & A. with McKenna

  • Why did you start breeding?

After graduating from Cal Poly, I followed my greatest passion yet, sweet family friendly doodles! After welcoming my first puppy, I knew my calling was to create these special companions to extend my immense love out to other deserving families. I took animal science classes, worked long hours training horses, learned proper veterinary protocol & then full heartedly chased what I love the most!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, and medium sizes. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include brown, brown and white, tri-color, phantom, and merle. Goldendoodle puppies include red, chocolate, and parti. Cavapoo puppies include blenheim, red, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

McKenna was truly a godsend! I have been searching for a puppy on Good Dog since June & was having a hard time finding a breeder that was close by & that wasn’t “irritated” with all of my questions. From the 1st interaction with McKenna , she was very responsive & always took the time to answer every question - big or small . McKenna actually helped me find the puppy that was perfect for me ! McKenna kept me updated with pics & videos of Amore & every picture, I fell in love with Amore more & more . She also set up a meeting so I could see him in person & I knew he was the puppy for me . I was able to take home Amore - now Alohi on August 18th - my wedding anniversary & this is how perfect Alohi was for me - he was born the day after my husbands birthday. Alohi has the sweetest temperament & he came to me crate trained & potty trained . He slept in his crate the first night I brought him home & plays in his pen with no issues ! McKenna has been an absolute angel to work with & even after bringing Alohi home , she is still responding to my messages ! McKenna truly has a heart for what she does & it shows in how well her puppies respond to their new home & pawrents! I would highly recommend McKenna for anyone looking for a puppy !

I cannot recommend Doodle Amore enough! From the very beginning, the entire process was smooth, professional, and incredibly supportive. It was clear that so much love and care went into raising these puppies. Ollie came home confident, affectionate, and so well-adjusted. He slept through the night almost immediately, took to his crate with ease, and has been an absolute joy to train thanks to the wonderful foundation he received from McKenna! I always felt comfortable reaching out with questions and received thoughtful guidance. If you’re looking for a breeder who truly cares about her puppies and the families they come home to, Doodle Amore is the best!

McKenna is amazing! She was responsive through this whole process and you can tell the love and care she puts into her puppies from the get go to help the transition to their forever families. McKenna’s nurturing and care is amazing. She matched us with the most perfect sweet, playful and intelligent girl. Lucy came to us this week and has slept through the night in the crate no problem from day one thus far! She is taking well to completing potty training also and her rhythms and routines are becoming predictable thanks to her fabulous training. Lucy’s also incredibly well socialized. Our family is in love and we are so fortunate to have found McKenna and Doodles Amore 🐾❤️ She is the best!!

McKenna is an absolutely amazing breeder! We found her through Good Dog, and the entire experience was flawless. Her communication was incredible from start to finish—she kept us fully informed and answered every single question we had. Payment through Good Dog was also simple and easy. Our puppy, Brew, has been an absolute joy! He arrived already crate trained, slept for 6 to 7 hours straight on his very first nights, and hasn’t had a single potty accident since we brought him home. He bonded with our family instantly. We feel his success is due to the amazing diligence and love McKenna gives to her puppies. We cannot say enough good things about McKenna and highly recommend her! 💕P&G

McKenna was very helpful in helping us as first time dog owners pick our perfect pup. She provided pictures of him weekly so we could see him grow before we were able to take him home.

My puppy Mori came home healthy and so sweet!! She adjusted to her new home very quickly and she’s even sleeping peacefully through the night since the first day. She also learned potty training, “sit,” and “wait” within just a few days! She’s such a smart little girl! I moved to the U.S. alone for work this year, and having her with me has made my days so much brighter. She came into my life at the perfect time, and I’m so grateful to McKenna and Doodle Amore for bringing her to me with so much love.
