Doodles by Piper

Marilyn G.

Breeder of Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Marilyn G., the breeder behind Doodles by Piper located in Broadway, NC. We are a very small breeder we have one litter a year most of our puppies are sold by word-of-mouth. All our dogs are our fur children. They live in our home and we only sell puppies to homes that will keep them inside.

Q. & A. with Marilyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got a cockapoo back in 2007. I’ve had dogs throughout my life, but there was something different about Bailey. He was extremely smart, very loyal and hands-down the most loving dog I’ve ever owned. Bailey was getting older so I decided to get a Golden Doodle, we named her Piper. Piper had her first letter the year we lost Bailey. It was tragic and exciting at the same time!
  • What makes your program special?

I believe a program is special because of how much we love our dogs and how much they love us. We wait until our females are two years, older or older to breed them. We give them time to be puppies and were there every step of the way when they become mothers. We love what we do so much we don’t even notice it’s been 12 hours through the night birthing puppies! We are so blessed with our dogs.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
