I'm Ashley H., the breeder behind Doodles on Duty located in Bryantown, MD. Doodles on Duty is a small Southern Maryland breeding program specializing in F1b Labradoodles and F2 Aussiedoodles. Our puppies are raised in our home using ENS and ESI, backed by Orivet genetic testing, and supported by a lifetime take-back commitment. Quality over quanity.

Why did you start breeding?
We began breeding because we loved our dogs so much that we wanted to keep one of their puppies. We carefully planned our first litter with temperament as our top priority. Watching those puppies grow and thrive in their new homes sparked a passion for responsible breeding and giving each puppy the very best start in life.
What makes your program special?
Quality always comes before quantity at Doodles on Duty. We raise only 1-2 litters per year, use ENS and ESI protocols, complete Orivet genetic testing, and maintain a lifetime take-back commitment. Our goal is not simply to produce puppies, but to raise confident, well-socialized companions that are thoughtfully matched with the right families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Labradoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Aussiedoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Ashley partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

We believe every puppy has equal value. All of our puppies are priced the same regardless of color, markings, or gender. A $400 reservation fee secures your spot in a litter or on a waitlist.”

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
