John P.

Breeder of Goldendoodles and Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm John P., the breeder behind Doodles to Poodles located in Rocky Mount, VA. We do our best to breed with total care by primarily focusing on raising healthy, affectionate, and loyal companions. As a result of our efforts, we’re positive our puppies will become perfect family members and add just as much joy to your life as they have ours!

Q. & A. with John

  • Why did you start breeding?

I am was lifelong bird breeder/trainer. I developed a neurological condition that causes uncontrollable body movements. This makes breeding and hand feeding near impossible. Giving up my exotic bird business, I carefully selected my favorite breed of dog, the standard poodle. Wanting to offer a variety, I carefully decided what doodles to add to our program; Saint Bernadoodles and Golden Doodles.
  • What makes your program special?

We do not use kennels, guardian homes or even stud our male. When the vet says it’s time for them to retire they will be fixed and live their life in our home. My dogs are my children.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies are standard size. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, and parti. Poodle puppies include apricot, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
