Meet the breeder

I'm Joel B., the breeder behind Double Barrel Bullies located in Stratford, NJ. We are a family-owned, South Jersey kennel dedicated to producing exceptional AKC French Bulldogs with outstanding health, temperament, structure, and pedigree. Our dogs come from carefully selected European bloodlines. We strive to ensure, that we only select the best representation of the breed.

Q. & A. with Joel

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have loved animals since a young age and decided to get into breeding when I was younger. As an adult after the loss of my Pitbull at the age of 16, my wife wanted a French bulldog. Upon searching for a dog, I noticed a lack of healthy options and it allowed me to see a place where I can fill that void. We our offering the highest quality, healthiest and structurally sound French bulldog.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes DBB Kennels special is the quality of our foundation animals. Our animals are health tested, we provide documentation proving all our our claims as well as a 1 year health guarantee. We focus on health and wellness. We allow bonding visits, so the animal can choose its family. We aim for the easiest and most successful transitions and are always available for guidance after adoption!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn, blue, tricolors, and blue fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

“As each puppy grows, we carefully evaluate their personality, energy level, and temperament. We encourage families to share what they are looking for in a companion, so we can help guide them toward the puppy that best fits their lifestyle. While we always consider color and appearance, our primary focus is health first. We aim for structurally accurate dogs that are the best representation of the breed. Our goal is creating successful, lifelong matches based on temperament and compatibility all while educating and being a resource for any aid a new family may need with their new addition.
