Dooney and Gizmo's litter

Renee H.
Our Nexxus and Dooney litter is 3.5 weeks old, and they are growing so fast. They are up on all 4 legs and learning to walk, run, and play. Now that eyes and ears are open, they are exploring the world, and we have upgraded them from the whelping box to a bigger play pen. They have started eating puppy mash to give them a little more substance to their diet. They are starting to get their little teeth and are chewing on everything, so they are getting introduced to toys this week. We have started one on one time where we take a pup for about 10 minutes and sit in another room and just give them individual attention. This way, they learn new sights, sounds, smells, and being away from their siblings. We have also introduced the potty tray to start with potty training. We can't wait to start introducing the pups to all the fun activities and toys over the next few weeks. Only 4.5 weeks till they go home!

Our Nexxus and Dooney Litter turned 1 week on Saturday! Even though they are basically harry potatos right now, we still have lots to report on this update. On Wednesday, everyone went to the vet for a checkup, and we had tails docked on half the pups and dewclaws removed on all pups. We have been Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) which uses gentle stressors in a controlled manner during the first three weeks of a puppy's life to boost their neurological development, leading to improved immune and cardiovascular systems, greater stress tolerance, and stronger adrenal glands. This program involves five simple exercises, including tactile, thermal, and positional stimulations, performed daily for short durations to help puppies grow into healthier, more resilient, and well-adjusted adults. All 5 exercises last less than a minute. We have also added some lumps and bumps to the puppies whelping box to help them develop the strength in their legs since they are growing so fast and we don't want them getting too fat to walk in the next couple weeks. Nexxus is healing perfectly from her c-section and is producing plenty of milk for everyone. We can't wait for the end of week 2 when their eyes will start opening, we will also be adding early scent introduction this week where puppies will be introduced to a new smell every day! We hope to post new photos in the next day or two.

Today was go home Day for our Gizmo and Dooney litter. These 2 girls were so sassy and so much fun to have. It's always bitter sweet sending our babies to their new homes, but we know their new family is going to give them so much love and attention. Good luck with your next adventure, Luthien and Tauriel.

About Dooney
Dooney is our champion sired triple clear, standard coat, red, and white stud. He is capable of producing red and tricolor pups. He has an amazing disposition and loves everyone he meets humans and animals alike. He is well socialized, rarely barks, and is an absolute delight. He has honey fox in his bloodline and was the breeders pick of the litter. It was our good fortune that we were able to add him to our program. We are so excited that he will be our founding sire and he comes from excellent lines. He is extremely smart and lovable. He enjoys spending time with his humans and playing with our other dogs. He has been extremely accepting and tolerant of our new pups, which will eventually be our future dams. He has taken several agility classes and insists on making friends with every dog and person in class. Our dogs are raised in our home as part of the family. Their health and wellbeing are our top priority, and future breedings are contingent on their optimal health.

About Gizmo
Gizmo is our beautiful mismark tri. She is sweet with a bit of a wild side at times. Gizmo is extremely smart and problem solving is her favorite pastime. She has definitely calmed down since being a puppy and has become a sweet snuggly girl. She specializes in sleeping in the most creative positions. She loves playing in the water... and mud! She is also a glamour coat which means she is a fluffy carrier so her coat is a bit fuller than a standard coat corgis and she is our largest female and is about 34lbs. Our dogs are raised in our home as part of the family and their health and wellbeing are our top priority and future breedings are contingent on their optimal health.

About Minnie
Minnie is a tiny girl but that doesn't stop her from being in charge. She is more cat than corgi and loves sleeping on the couch headrest. This sassy girl is all personality and loves everyone she meets.

Our pup is now 3 months and he is just full of life. He’s super healthy and just a happy baby boy. Renee was literally was so nice and answered every question I had. She sent updates and photos all along the way. It was so amazing she gave us a blanket from his dog mom and litter. She gave us toys from the litter, and even a little bit of his food he was on. We kept him on the food and he’s doing great. I am so thankful Renee took such great care and so knowledgeable. I 100% recommend her breeding program to anyone that is ready for a new family member. Thank you!

I recently purchased my corgi, Bullet, from Renee at Dragon Ridge Corgis, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Renee was incredibly responsive, patient, and clearly very knowledgeable about the breed. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What really stood out to me was how easy she made everything — from communication to arranging a meetup. She was flexible and willing to meet up quickly, which I truly appreciated. Most importantly, I absolutely love Bullet! He is everything I hoped for and more. I’m very grateful for Renee’s professionalism, care, and dedication. I highly recommend Dragon Ridge Corgis to anyone looking for a corgi.

We had a great experience getting our corgi from Renee. She responded promptly and thoroughly to all of our questions, and was kind enough to meet us halfway between our town and hers. She went above and beyond, providing us with a lovely binder that included our puppy’s history and extra information, as well as toys, snacks, and even one of the mama corgi’s blankets so our puppy could smell her scent. At three months, our doggie took really quickly to puppy pads and the playpen set up that we made following Renee’s initial structure and guidance. Our doggie is four months now; she is precious, healthy, and of sweet temperament. We have recommended Renee to friends and are happy to provide this review.

Since bringing Churro home, he has been doing amazingly well. He settled in quickly, is curious, sweet, and already showing such a great temperament. You can tell he was raised with care and love—he’s confident, affectionate, and just an absolute joy to have in our home. Working with Renee throughout the entire process was such a wonderful experience. She was kind, patient, and incredibly supportive, answering every question and making sure we felt comfortable and prepared every step of the way. Her communication and genuine care for her puppies truly stood out. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’re so grateful to Renee for bringing Churro into our lives. He’s already so loved 🐾
