Dooney and Gizmo's litter

Renee H.
Our Nexxus and Dooney litter is 3.5 weeks old, and they are growing so fast. They are up on all 4 legs and learning to walk, run, and play. Now that eyes and ears are open, they are exploring the world, and we have upgraded them from the whelping box to a bigger play pen. They have started eating puppy mash to give them a little more substance to their diet. They are starting to get their little teeth and are chewing on everything, so they are getting introduced to toys this week. We have started one on one time where we take a pup for about 10 minutes and sit in another room and just give them individual attention. This way, they learn new sights, sounds, smells, and being away from their siblings. We have also introduced the potty tray to start with potty training. We can't wait to start introducing the pups to all the fun activities and toys over the next few weeks. Only 4.5 weeks till they go home!

Our Nexxus and Dooney Litter turned 1 week on Saturday! Even though they are basically harry potatos right now, we still have lots to report on this update. On Wednesday, everyone went to the vet for a checkup, and we had tails docked on half the pups and dewclaws removed on all pups. We have been Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) which uses gentle stressors in a controlled manner during the first three weeks of a puppy's life to boost their neurological development, leading to improved immune and cardiovascular systems, greater stress tolerance, and stronger adrenal glands. This program involves five simple exercises, including tactile, thermal, and positional stimulations, performed daily for short durations to help puppies grow into healthier, more resilient, and well-adjusted adults. All 5 exercises last less than a minute. We have also added some lumps and bumps to the puppies whelping box to help them develop the strength in their legs since they are growing so fast and we don't want them getting too fat to walk in the next couple weeks. Nexxus is healing perfectly from her c-section and is producing plenty of milk for everyone. We can't wait for the end of week 2 when their eyes will start opening, we will also be adding early scent introduction this week where puppies will be introduced to a new smell every day! We hope to post new photos in the next day or two.

Today was go home Day for our Gizmo and Dooney litter. These 2 girls were so sassy and so much fun to have. It's always bitter sweet sending our babies to their new homes, but we know their new family is going to give them so much love and attention. Good luck with your next adventure, Luthien and Tauriel.

About Minnie
Meet Minnie, our spunky black-headed tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi who proves that big personalities come in small packages! Minnie is on the smaller side and features a vibrant, high-energy spirit matched with a delightfully bossy streak—she firmly believes that everyone should drop whatever they are doing the moment she enters the room just to pet her. Extremely friendly and outgoing, she is clear of Von Willebrand's Disease and Exercise-Induced Collapse, and carries one copy of Degenerative Myopathy. Minnie is also one of the most incredible mothers we've ever seen, showing unmatched dedication and continuing to playfully engage with her puppies long past weaning when most moms are ready for a break. She brings a joyful spark and wonderful maternal heart to our program.

About Dooney
Meet Dooney, our champion-sired Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the absolute heart of our breeding program as our founding sire! As a standard-coat red and white boy carrying Honey Fox bloodlines, we consider ourselves endlessly fortunate to have added him to our family. He is fully triple-clear and capable of producing both gorgeous red and tricolor pups. Beyond his stellar pedigree and wonderful conformation, Dooney possesses an unmatched disposition. Exceptionally smart, loving, and famously quiet—he rarely barks—he is a social butterfly who has taken several agility classes just to make friends with every single human and dog he meets. Well-socialized and raised right in our home as part of the family, he is wonderfully patient and tolerant with our upcoming future dams. Because health and wellbeing are our top priorities, Dooney represents the absolute gold standard of what a Corgi sire should be: brilliant, beautiful, and fundamentally sound.

About Tempi
Meet Tempi, our stunning sable bluie mismark and an absolute showstopper! All of her extra white markings come from the whitehead gene, which is still actively being researched, and this same gene is why she features striking heterochromia with one blue eye and one green eye. She isn't just a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind beauty; she is exceptionally smart, relentlessly outgoing, and endlessly friendly. Boasting a brilliant mind paired with a sweet, social-butterfly disposition, Tempi is clear for DM, EIC, and vWD1, and carries the fluffy coat gene. She brings nice conformation, valuable new genetics, a joyful personality, and captivating, rare traits to our program.

I have been so impressed by the quality and standards that Renee has put into her program. We have had Odette since February 21st and it has been such a smooth transition from pick up to integrating her into our family. She has such a sweet personality and you can really see the attention and care that she received in the home before us. She is wonderfully adventurous and has taken to training with ease. We couldn't be happier with our experience and we would return again in a heartbeat should we desire to grow our family again. Thank you so much Dragon Ridge Corgis! You really enriched our lives with this fearless little girl.

Our pup is now 3 months and he is just full of life. He’s super healthy and just a happy baby boy. Renee was literally was so nice and answered every question I had. She sent updates and photos all along the way. It was so amazing she gave us a blanket from his dog mom and litter. She gave us toys from the litter, and even a little bit of his food he was on. We kept him on the food and he’s doing great. I am so thankful Renee took such great care and so knowledgeable. I 100% recommend her breeding program to anyone that is ready for a new family member. Thank you!

I recently purchased my corgi, Bullet, from Renee at Dragon Ridge Corgis, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Renee was incredibly responsive, patient, and clearly very knowledgeable about the breed. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What really stood out to me was how easy she made everything — from communication to arranging a meetup. She was flexible and willing to meet up quickly, which I truly appreciated. Most importantly, I absolutely love Bullet! He is everything I hoped for and more. I’m very grateful for Renee’s professionalism, care, and dedication. I highly recommend Dragon Ridge Corgis to anyone looking for a corgi.

We had a great experience getting our corgi from Renee. She responded promptly and thoroughly to all of our questions, and was kind enough to meet us halfway between our town and hers. She went above and beyond, providing us with a lovely binder that included our puppy’s history and extra information, as well as toys, snacks, and even one of the mama corgi’s blankets so our puppy could smell her scent. At three months, our doggie took really quickly to puppy pads and the playpen set up that we made following Renee’s initial structure and guidance. Our doggie is four months now; she is precious, healthy, and of sweet temperament. We have recommended Renee to friends and are happy to provide this review.
