Meet the breeder

I'm Donna B., the breeder behind Dtails Tollers located in Old Lyme, CT. I breed well-rounded Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. The health of my dogs is very important to me, I do health testing on my dogs and provide lots of training and enrichment.

Q. & A. with Donna

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first recollection of dogs is from around five years old and sharing my sandbox with a litter of Border Collie puppies that my father had bred. He bred Collies and Beagles so dogs were always a part of my life. I have owned many different breeds over the years, from a mini Doxy to a Husky, Shepherds, and Retrievers.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are my life, and I ensure they live healthy, happy lives. As a dog trainer, I make sure all of my dogs receive proper training. I also do thorough health testing to ensure I am producing the healthiest dogs possible.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
