Why did you start breeding?
Susan Abeln of KITSUE POODLES was my business partner and best friend. As a breeder of merit, she worked decades to promote multi colored standard poodle genetics. She passed away in 2016 leaving us with her years of genetic work and her beautiful dogs to carry on as part of her legacy. KITSUE poodles are INTERNATIONALLY known and are considered a cornerstone in multi color standard poodles.What makes your program special?
We proudly use GENSOL diagnostics as well as Canine Health Check to screen for over 150 diseases... Hips screened per OFA or vet. Puppies are raised using puppy culture techniques, acclimated to grooming, and started in housebreaking Before they leave us. NO CAGES! Our sweet babies learn to potty on Paper litter Which reinforces clean habits early! 🐾🐩What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
